Antique French Papier-Mache / Lacquer Snuff Box, ca.
1880 (late Napoleon III period).  3-1/2"L x 2"W x
1-1/2"H.  Probably used for snuff, but could also have
been just a charming trinket box... either way, an
absolutely charming accent piece, so romantic!
Features two chubby birds set against a bright gilt
background.  Hinged lid appears to have been glued
shut by a previous owner, but can be unglued by its
new owner (or not).  Expected wear to lacquer finish,
but overall very good.
